Joe Steel has been certified personal trainer for over 10 years. He received his certification through the National Exercise Trainer Association (NETA) accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Joe joined as a member of the IDEA Personal Trainer Institute in 2006.
His thirst for fitness and nutrition began after surviving the rigors of a childhood illness. Joe’s battle at such an early stage of his life fuels his overall positive outlook toward life. In high school, Joe was a member of a four-time championship wrestling team with Payson High School and placed at State. Upon graduation, Joe was awarded a scholarship to wrestle on a National All-American college wrestling team with Phoenix College. Joe’s training career began when he spent two years training children and adults with disabilities for the Special Olympics.
“I believe working out should be fun! My goal, as a personal trainer, is to educate, motivate and above all keep things interesting. I maintain an open-minded approach to training and nutrition while relating the process in a practical and functional manner.”
Joe continues his dedication to an active and healthy lifestyle in a myriad of ways – whether it is working out, camping, hiking, kayaking, riding his dirt bike or playing the drums. He is persistent in increasing his knowledge and awareness with health and fitness related issues as well as providing this knowledge to you. Joe is devoted and enthusiastic to coach and inspire others to lead a healthier lifestyle.
